About: The Maidstone Hospital

Rather than write an essay, here's a summary. Rude, Dismissive, Nasty, Patronising, Condesecending, Arrogant, Slow, Lazy, Dispassionate, Spiteful, Humiliating, Incompetent, Degrading, Shocking, Disgraceful, Hypocritical, Liars, Devious, Mocking, Sneering, Useless, Unprofessional, Lack of Empathy. The Paramedics who took me there were wonderful. The Receptionists are obviously in love with themselves, a complete bunch of prima donnas and they obviously think patients are a nuisance who dare to interrupt their private chat which is far more important than the chronically ill. The nurses treat you with complete contempt and make you feel guilty for daring to enter the hospital in the first place and being told there is a 6 hour wait is the norm. It's supposed to be A&E not wait around until dawn to be seen. Apparently, having Liver Damage due to Toxicity is not something one should go to A&E for! Apparently patients suffering with Chronic Neuropathic Pain do not need pain killers. If you are suffering with suspected Parkinson's Disease and you are in agony, then you should not go to Hospital and bother the staff. They do not want to work. Maybe they are upset that they didn't get a pay rise and I don't blame them, they deserve a pay rise but taking it out on patients who are in desperate need is not going to help. A surgeon wanted to perform a Spinal Tap when I had a Dental Abscess and just wanted some antibiotics and pain killers. That was really scary. Another time I had suspected gall stones and I had told them I was allergic to Penicillin and Metronodizole. Penicillin would kill me and it had been on my record for 40 years. Do they prescribed Penicillin and Metronodizole. They will not check me out for Parkinson's Disease but they will perform surgery I do not need. They can not afford to give me pain killers to relive my chronic neuropathic pain but they can pay a surgeon to carry out a completely unnecessary operation. I am now terrified of these people and I am now asking for a social housing transfer to another county as I am too scared of staff at Miadstone Hospital. I should point out though, over the years, I have come in to contact with a few really nice nurses whilst being hospitalised. They are not all bad up there, just most of them.
