Being my first child, I was quite irrational when I went into labour, I had no idea what to do and I was very scared. The nurses and midwives were brilliant, they were understanding and respectful of me. All of them were very kind to me, they always explained what was going on and I was never left in the dark with regards to information. I could tell that my birthplan had been read thoroughly and they did everything possible to make my daughters birth match my birthplan. The midwife that stayed with me almost all the way through was very respectful of my partners fear of needles and always ensured he had left the room before any needles were present. I was pleased with the cleanliness, I had no issue with the bathroom facilities and found everything to be in order. I would definitely recommend the maternity services at the RUH.
"Great experience"
