I was in the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre for revision spinal surgery in December 2013. This proved to be even more painful than the first surgery in August 2012 and I couldn't speak highly enough of the care I received each day - both sympathetic and very professional. Even the Professor made time to come not only to check on me but also to explain carefully what they had done - thank you to my surgeons and to everyone in Ward D. My husband came each day and was warmly greeted - not only because he came bearing mince pies! Our children were treated with care and sympathy on the telephone as they live some distance away. Until last December I had not appreciated how extremely busy a hospital becomes at the weekend - I don't think the staff had a bite to eat or the smallest sip of a drink over Friday and Saturday nights. We appreciate you very much - when the pain is bad, I know that I have you to turn to when necessary.
