About: North Tyneside General Hospital

We wrote to the CEO of this hospital to express sincere and heartfelt thanks for the exceptional care and attention of all of the staff team on Ward 9 of North Tyneside General Hospital. Our Mother had experienced an extended stay on the ward following hip surgery ( for reasons not linked to the surgery or her care) . In summary, we had forgotten that such dedicated care was available. This includes everyone from admission team, to surgeon, surgical staff and everyone on the ward. As a family we have found ourselves humbled by the tireless, patient, attentive and diligent care afforded consistently to a vulnerable lady with complex care needs. It seemed to us that although we have left a thank you card with your colleagues, this alone was insufficient. Please forward our appreciation and best wishes to all on ward 9 who have represented the hospital so well. Yours sincerely and with thanks We hope this review is helpful to other patients. The kindness, helpfulness and professional attention that you describe in your letter is exactly what we’d want every one of our patients to receive, every day, across all of our hospitals and community services. We are very proud of our teams and their commitment to provide the best possible care at all times and we are also very grateful when patients take the time to give us feedback. It gives us the opportunity to pay attention to what really matters. I am so pleased that your mother received the compassionate care she deserved. I think excellent teamwork is often at the heart of high quality service and so it was particularly pleasing that you specifically noted all the different staff that played a part in helping you feel confident that your Mother was being cared for in the right way.
