About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

I visited my GP to explain my problem, which I have experience since I was 16 and previously received physio for. My GP did not seem convinced by my problem and although I explained the severe swelling around my knees, they didn’t ask to see this.

I was only referred because I specifically asked for this. It was not explained to me the referral process, no mention of NHS TRAQS.

My experience with TRAQS however has been very positive.

Staff have been helpful and friendly. I wasn’t asked about my preferences on appointment however this may be because the appointment suited me.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

Please accept my apologies that you were not informed by your GP that your referral would be sent and managed by TRAQS. There is a TRAQS patient leaflet which is handed out to all GP Practices/ GP's. The leaflet explains about the service, the steps in the process and contains contact telephone numbets in TRAQS should you want to discuss your appointment.

If you would like to contact me directly I can arrange for a TRAQS leaflet to be sent to you. It's a bit late but it would give you an insight into what the service does and how it works should you ever need to be referred via TRAQS again.
