"Ward 6 is diabolical!"

We arrived with my partner on Monday 7th with reoccurring chest pain, kidney pain and symptoms of a UTI. Upon arrival the assessment in a&e was second to none. He was then transferred to ward three which was a lovely ward, the staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful as it was taking a while to understand what was causing my partners problem. My partner was then transferred to ward 6. Big mistake, from the moment he arrived, the nurse put in charge of him was abrupt and damn right rude. I arrived for visiting hours a day after he was transferred ward and asked to speak to her at the desk to find out what the plan was regarding his condition as he had not been told anything. She came over to the bedside, hands on hips and said, I quote "you know what is wrong with you, I have already told you we don't know." I replied to her quite shocked saying; "well what were the results of his ultrasound on his kidneys? " She said "it came back fine" As she was walking out the room I said to her, so why has his mum been told on the phone he has an inflamed kidney tract? She continued to walk out and not reply to me. So I requested to speak to the doctor. (Admittedly the doctor was very very helpful, I then made him aware of his colleagues bad attitude) Nothing else was said until 2am the next morning, where the night staff came to his bedside and said "we are moving you to ward 11" When he asked what ward to was and why he was moving there, the nurses reply was "because there's people on this ward a lot sicker than you are" ...when they still have not found a cause of why he is having chest pain, being dosed up on morphine and other painkillers. No real reasons, every member of staffs attitude on ward 6 was absolutely disgusting, even to other patients relatives. If anyone I know if taken to this hospital again, I will point blank refuse them to be admitted to ward 6. Nothing gets done and the attitude of staff is appalling. Thankyou.
