About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

I gave birth to my son at queens Hosp last week. Originally I was dreading going there cos of all the bad press but it was a great experience. All the midwives were calm and reassuring. It wasn't an easy birth but they kept me involved in decisions and made sure my birthing partners were also looked after. Once on the ward it was clean and staff were efficient kind and on hand as much or as little as I needed. I even received a call today to check my son and I were doing ok. My opinion has completely changed and I would highly reccomend this hospitals maternity unit

Response from Queen's Hospital

Congratulations on the birth of your son. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment on NHS Choices. I’m pleased that following your experience you would highly recommend our maternity services. Our midwives work incredibly hard to create a calm and reassuring environment, so it is with great pleasure that I pass on your comments to the team. Yours sincerely Flo Panel-Coates Director of Nursing
