Husbands ongoing treatment. Attended A&E on Wednesday which could only be described as a "war Zone"...long queue of trollies with unattended often very distressed patients waiting for treatment. Lots of staff milling about in groups mostly glaring at computer screens. I witnessed very little "care" . After 25 years in nursing I was horrified at what I witnessed. 6 hours later he was admitted and after 3 long days he had had a blood test, an x-ray , Analgesia and eventually a scan after a 30 hours wait. The standard of care from the nursing seemed good but far too many managers milling around with their noses pressed against computer screens and still unable or reluctant to make a decision. Further investigations delayed till Monday because the doctor is off on a Sunday. The misuse of funding is appalling and I have seen now how the NHS is haemorrhaging money. I am in despair
"dreadful mismanagment of resorses"
