On Christmas eve morning I was admitted to A&E department by ambulance because of Chest pains.Bearing in mind that thjs was barely two weeks after the Chase Farm A&E was shut and with the place packed with patients I was seen almost immediately. Although my condition from the paramedics feedback was not critical,I was given a ecg. in a matter of minutes and attended by a doctor who carried out a thorough examination .Naturally a blood test had to be carried out to determine if there was damage to the heart muscle by a heart attack and this had to be repeated 6 hours later so after 5 hour wait which I found rather long I was taken to the CDU ward.Where anothef thorough exam was carried out and following the results of the xecond blood test ,was discharged at 12.15 am Christmas morning with a present(!) I found the nusing stuff extremely pleasant and polite despite extreme provocation from an abusive patient.Well done and thank you for your kindness and care you gave me during my short stay. One complaint not offered a drink or anything to eat in the A&E area despite been there for five hours.
"Barnet A&E certainly an improvement on Chase Farm"
