"c- section and first baby"

About: Milton Keynes Hospital

After being booked in for an ELC at full term I was a little bit worried as I had planned a natural birth but sadly this was not to be due to baby being breach. From the minute I walked onto the ward everything was taken care of and I have never felt so cared for in my life. They talked me through everything and constantly reassured me and the whole experience in the operating room was extremely relaxed and they did not make me feel that this is a mundane day to day thing and made it very special for my partner and I. They lifted baby so I could see the sex of it and then took it away to clean and then allowed me to spend an amazing hour in recovery with baby snuggled into my chest. The midwifes and the support workers on the ward were fantastic and I felt really vulnerable and thought I would lose my dignity but they ensured that I was reassured all the way through. One midwife was fantastic and works so hard and nothing was too inconvenient for her even pressing the buzzer at 2.00 am for her to pass me baby to feed. I would not hesitate to go back to MK hospital and have another baby.
