"Emergency Care Unit Wishaw"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

Having developed chest pain I was sent to the Emergency Ward at Wishaw General.

I was dealt with quickly and following blood tests and a heart trace I was told I had a heart attack.

The nursing staff kept me up to date as I was extremely anxious. The Charge Nurse(wearing navy) picked up on this right away and he arranged to have a rehab nurse to see me.

I've really had my eyes opened on how this ward was run. Nothing was a bother and also seen some difficult patients being dealt with. The Charge Nurse ( Pender I think his name was ) certainly runs a tight ship and has great nurses.

They are a real asset to the NHS
