I visited Rheumatology yesterday. I waited nearly two hours to be seen, and was given to the Registrar instead of the consultant I was mean to see. The computer system was down, there were no records available for me, no xrays, no blood tests, nothing. What is more disappointing is that I had written to the hospital prior to my appointment, with the details of my 18 month symptoms. There was no sign of this letter. I was then told to wait on the left for the nurse, which I did, she then came out and shouted at us that we were in the wrong place, (3 parties) and how was she supposed to know we were waiting for her, when we were in the wrong seats. Bit disappointing really. I wasted an entire afternoon , 3 hours by the time I got out, of my precious annual leave, which I actually use to REST by joints. I beginning to wonder if there is any point in actually going to these appointments.
