What I liked

This applies to all my care from the initial referral to the after-care physiotherapy at Arrowe Park. My operation was for a complete knee replacement and every aspect was first class. including the expedition with which the whole matter was resolved.

From the initial early morning reception at the ward until my discharge the staff could not have been more caring and helpful. The cleaning of the ward and surrounds seemed ongoing and regular drink rounds made pleasant interludes in the day. Meals were edible with good choice available. Those at all levels were friendly and always ready to exchange a pleasant word.

This was (fortunately!) my first hospital visit in 74 years and it was -so far as is possible- made relaxing and in no way stressful. I should add the operation has been a great success and I am most grateful to the NHS for the treatment I received.
