"Removal of a lump"

About: Queen's Hospital, Burton Upon Trent

The Consultant was very efficient and thorough, explained what she was going to do and decided to carry out the procedure in the OPD on my first visit, returned 2 weeks later for the follow up and results , unfortunately the results of the test were not available. The Consultant, was very apologetic, she treated you as an individual and telephoned me at home 2 days later with the results, cannot praise her and the department enough, excellent service. The only downside was the Pathology Department not having the results back on the date requested by the Consultant.

Thank you for your comments. We are pleased that your patient experience met with your expectations and can only apologise for the results not be available at your appointment. We shall pass on your comments to all the departments that were involved with your care and to bring to the attention of the pathology department regarding your test results.
