"I am impressed with the TRAQS process"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

I went to see my GP about a small lump in the back of my throat. My GP informed me that I would need to be referred but did not tell how long it would take or what would happen next.

I was seen by Doctor at the end of January. And I was contacted by the TRAQS team in February and was offered a number of appointments at various hospitals in March.

The TRAQS team were very good. If my GP had informed me of the process and about the TRAQS process I would have been happy.

I am new to this area so was not aware of this process. But I am impressed with the TRAQS process.

Please accept my apologies that you were not informed by your GP that your referral would be sent to and managed by TRAQS. There is a TRAQS patient leaflet, which is available to be handed by all GP Practices/GPs. Each patient who is referred by their GP should be given one of these leaflets which explains the service, the steps in the process and contains contact telephone numbers within TRAQS should you wish to discuss your appointment. If you would like to contact TRAQS directly on 01952 580441, we can arrange for a TRAQS leaflet to be sent to you.

It is pleasing to note that the service you did receive from TRAQS was of a high standard and that you received good clear advice.
