"Need plenty of spare time when you 'phone for info..."

About: Broomfield Hospital

Rang the hospital at approx 0915 to try and find out he situation regarding my elderly mother who had been taken in over night about 03.30. Main switchboard first, then transferred to general office where they had no information, then transferred to A&E where the 'phone was eventually answered by the most bored sounding person on the planet. Had to push to get any info. and eventually found that they were awaiting results from x-ray etc. and told to ring back in about an hour. This is about 5 and half hours after she went in, so in all it will be over 6 hours before (hopefully) we get any information. Not great experience. will update as we progress.
