After reading some reviews regarding the breast clinic and the procedure to establish breast cancer. I had my appointment at 9am for my mammogram, when a lump was found I was asked to wait for an ultra sound. I didn't wait long, my ultra sound was carried out by a lovely male doctor, who answered all of my questions honestly. I was sent to see a consultant and was told I would have to have a biopsy, (done by the same doctor who did my ultra sound). I was asked if I would like someone with me while I had the biopsy done and my daughter, a nurse at Wansbeck came in with me. I then went back to see the consultant who verified that I had a cancerous lump. Naturally I was devastated, but the consultant and breast nurse was great. I'm so glad Wansbeck has the one stop breast clinic, who cares if you're just given a small bit of paper to cover yourself, surely your health should come first. Thank god for this clinic!
