(as a relative),

My Husband was discharged from hospital following stroke and the next day the esd team came to our house to start his therapy at home.

I was very relieved that they had come as I felt as though I'd been dumped at home not knowing what was going to happen next.

He needed equipment which was organised within a few days. This equipment included shower seat and grab rails which increase his confidence a lot. The esd team came for 10 weeks. During this time he enjoyed the getting out and about aspect and looked forward to each session

He also attended a exercises group at the Eddercliffe center each Wednesday which he enjoyed.

I think the stroke ESD team is fantastic and I don't know what I would have done without them.

I passed your kind comments onto the team at the time of posting, but apologise for not then replying to yourself. Both myself and the team were pleased to hear that you found the ESD service beneficial and that this increased your husbands confidence. It is always nice to hear when the teams care makes a real difference to peoples lives. Thank you for taking the time to post your comments.
