"Useless A&E"

My son was taken into A&E early Saturday morning by a paramedic. After being checked over for bad recurring stomach pains he was dismissed and told he would need to take a course of tablets. He was informed that the prescription would be sent to his GP and was given nothing to take in the mean time. Today is Thursday, they have had an email saying that he went in and was discharged but no prescription. The person on reception told him that A&E wait until they have a lot to send out then do them all in one go ! good job its not life or death medication. They can't say they were over worked or busy as there was only him and 2 other people in there, its just stupid, lazy and incompetent.
