"Tea shop with only unhealthy food on sale at the health centre"

About: North Yorkshire and Humber

(as the patient),

Visited the Morrill street health centre, in Hull, with my partner for a midwife appointment. The staff were brilliant at reception and the midwife great. However, whilst waiting I was go I was disappointed to see that the only food on show in the tea shack was unhealthy snacks.

Crisps, cans of fizzy drink, chocolate, sweets and muffins were the only items on show, and the tea shack was located in the centre of the waiting area.

Only one hour before visiting the health centre for the appointment, one of the main stories on the news was that obesity is now seen as normal. On the news article, there were several NHS health experts voicing their concerns and saying more had to be done to combat this obesity problem. Surely our health centres are the first place to start?
