"The worst hospital experience of my life"

I was taken to A & E by ambulance crew when I was extremely unwell. The paramedics were fantastic but as soon as they left I was horrified by the treatment I received. Staff were not only cold and unwelcoming but plain rude. Only one person was in any way friendly and tried to put me at ease and that was the medical student (I am hoping she does not lose her kindness by spending too much time there). One nurse told me I had to give a urine sample but didn't help me to get to the bathroom and had a go at me when I hadn't done it even though she never told me when she needed it. Another nurse laughed at me because I was scared of giving blood. The worst was a nurse who made me walk to the ward even though it was clear I couldn't. Luckily he found a random wheelchair in the hall before I passed out. He then wheeled me so fast that I was sick again all over myself and he spent 5 minutes getting a bowl so it was too late. My gown was covered and he didn't get me a new one. We had to asked 3 different nurses for a new gown, they gave me one but didn't take my drip out so I couldn't put it on! I was put in a side room of a ward which was the only saving grace as my boyfriend could stay with me. However, the first doctor I saw told me I would be on a drip for 4 hours and then I could go. But then the nurses kept changing the drip and not telling us how long I would be there. Finally we asked and she said this new drip was 6 hours (after we had already been there for 4). So they didn't bother to tell us we would be staying overnight, no-one told us how I was doing, and that things would change so I would stay longer. They even tried to kick my boyfriend out but he refused as I had nothing with me. So I was stuck in a sick-covered gown overnight, not knowing when I could go home, with incredibly rude staff who told me nothing, until the morning when another doctor finally came to see me and let me go home. All in all it was horrendous and extremely scary, I was just lucky I wasn't on my own. Another experience was having a CT Scan, they managed to fit me in which was great, but they told me literally nothing about what was happening, and it can be quite a scary experience. They didn't say what would happen, they also didn't say what happens at the end, they just let me go. It is the least patient-centred hospital I have ever been to and I have been to hospital in Peru, Ghana, and South Africa.
