"treatment for very painful arthritus"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

I attended the outpations A clinic on Friday at short notice arranged from the drop In clinic nurse over the phone. I was warned that I may have to wait some time as it is a busy clinic but report to reception and they would look after me from there on in. As soon as I attended I was sent straight to the clinic and the duty nurse took me straight in for blood pressure and to weight me. I waited no longer than 10mins then the doctor called me in for treatment where she gave me a full check over of my complaint with her student doctoron hand to assit her. She quickly decided a course of treatment for my knee which invoved very painful steroid injection which I was not in favour of having but her persisitance that I would be in better shape within a few days convinced me to have the treatment. As suspected it did hurt a lot but on the undrstanding no gain without a bit of pain. In conclusion it is now 3 days later I am completly pain free in my knee which will enable me to carry on in my work as it entails lots of walking on uneven surfaces. She is a brilliant doctor I cannot thank her enough and the student doctor as well as the great nurses at the drop in Clinic.
