I went into a and e on 19th as an emergency at 11pm with severe abdominal pain. I spent 7 hours on a trolley had an X-ray/ blood test/ urine test the pain killers were given by the paramedics. The nurses were rude, the doctor was extremely rude I had nothing to eat or drink. My urine showed dehydration and blood. I live in Kent and still had severe pain but the doctor told me I was cured and was discharged still in pain at 6.20. With no letter for my gp, nothing. I asked the doctor if they were going to do anymore tests but she said ' what do you wants us to do, you are better than last night'! I didn't realise that 7 hours on a trolley and. O treatment cured anyone. I had a horrendous journey back to kent where I was sick and in terrible pain. On return I went to a and e in my local hospital who immediately diagnosed acute cholysystitis admitted me. I stayed in a week and had gallstones removed from my bile duct and go back to have my gallbladder out in a few weeks. I used to be a qualified nurse and I was showing all the signs of cholystistitis when I went into Chester. I was admitted in Margate A and E the same day I was discharged from Chester, where I was properly diagnosed and treated for my condition and treated with respect. These hospitals are completely the opposite ends of the spectrum and Chester could do with taking a few pages from their book. I will be taking this further.
