"Paediatric Emergency Dept"

About: Russells Hall Hospital

I had the misfortune of having to take a friend to ED with his poorly baby this evening, but could not fault the care of the staff in the department. We were booked in quickly and seen by a really pleasant nurse within 10 minutes. Following a brief wait we saw a doctor who showed real concern for the baby and a great deal of understanding about our concerns despite the baby having brightened up in the dept. After a thorough examination and a great deal of advice we were allowed to go home feeling very reassured. The hospital and staff should be praised for the speed of service for children, the care the staff showed and the efficiency and knowledge of the doctor.

Thank you, Mandy, for taking the time to post your feedback about our A&E Department. We know how stressful it can be when a child is unwell, so we are glad you and your friend left our department with peace of mind, knowing that your friend’s child was well enough to return home. We have passed your wonderful comments on to the staff in A&E.
