What could be improved

I had a very stressful stay at Lewisham Hospital. I was glad that the doctors knew what was wrong with me and how to sort it. The doctors have a lot of time for you and they are good at helping you understand things. The abuse i received from the nurses is a different matter all together. I was moved from majors to Aspen Ward. And it was here that i had to indure the comments about my private life- from nurses. Maybe in future nurses shouldn't talk so loud. I was very embarrssed because some of the other patients could hear what was going on too. I asked to leave so they called the duty doctor, she thought it was unwise that i leave. I told her the reasons why i had to leave and she said that she would talk to the nurses and move me onto the ward next door.

I agreed although i weren't happy about it. Everyone was really nice on that ward until the new lot of staff arrived in the morning. They had obviously heard about what had happened and they thought it would be a good idea to check out my profile on facebook and have a good laugh at my pictures. As if they didn't have anything better to do. Like maybe, looking after their patients?

Anything else?

RATU- in my opinion is a horrible experience. The staff in general are very rough and don't seem to care that much. I woke up in the middle of the night because some poor old dear was calling out to the nurses for help and all they were doing was trying to catch up on a bit of sleep. It was up to me to alert the nurses. Me being a patient as well. If you ask for some water expect to get a cup full. The way they look at it is that, that is the hostess' job. It looked to me as though they didn't even want to be there.
