"Hospital and TRAQS team very efficient"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

GP was excellent but had to phone TRAQS myself after 2 further calls to surgery to get appointment at hospital.

Hospital and TRAQS team very efficient but could not give date of operation – disappointing!

Response from Cathie McKenzie, Patient Advisor, TRAQS, NHS Telford and Wrekin CCG

Thank you for providing feedback.

It is pleasing to note that overall you are satisfied with the service provided by TRAQS. However, I do note that it was necessary to phone TRAQS twice before an appointment was made on your behalf. TRAQS aims to contact patients within 5 working days of receipt of the referral from your GP Practice. However, the delay may have occurred between your attendance at your practice and them forwarding the referral on to TRAQS. As all feedback is anonymous I am unable to identify the point at which the delay occurred but as you appear to have already attended your initial appointment TRAQS is unable to take any further action to secure a date for your operation as this is a matter specifically dealt with by the hospital.

Many thanks again for your comments.
