"the midwifes was good and knew ..."

About: Royal Oldham Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

the midwifes was good and knew how to explain things so i could understand

What could be improved

them healthcare assistants! the nigt after i had my baby i was barely walking because i had a c-section and i pressed the button to ask for milk for my baby, the reply i got was "cant you get it yourself im on my own tonight, you should be able to walk by now" so i had to litterally crawl down the corridor to get my baby milk and the healthcare assistant just stood and watched me.

Anything else?

get more staff on nights. i will not have another baby at oldham again because of this womans attitude

Thank you for your positive comments about the midwife. We are, however, sorry to hear of the attitude displayed by the health care assistant and will ensure that your comments are conveyed to the staff as appropriate.

We have had exceptionally high clinical activity, combined with a high level of sickness due to the recent outbreak of viral infections. This has reduced the number of staff on nights.
