To the chief executive of Halton General Hospital I have to admit that I am the sort of person who is not unhappy to express my dissatisfaction when I feel that I or my close ones are receiving bad service in whatever form it takes. On the other hand I am proud to say that I am also capable of recognising something special. My mother has been seen on two occasions now by a specific doctor at Halton and I cannot express enough my delight in how she has been towards her. She has demonstrated that she clearly puts her patients at the top of her priorities. She has shown true kindness and consideration when assessing the needs of my mother. She has been as gentle as a daughter would be and ensured immediate action to investigate any concerns. If all doctors were as she, we would be in good hands. Mother also had to have an X Ray taken and again, the concern shown by the lady, who looked after her was superb, caring and gentle. The NHS is a much maligned institution and I have witnessed at first hand some of the extreme neglect elderly patients have endured in another hospital. These afore mentioned ladies’ attitude to patients is so good they ought to be on the National Health. Oops of course they are. This country needs more of them and less management.
"to the chief exec. You should read this."
