"A credit to the Trust"

The overall care I have had from my initial heart attack in the A&E dept in October to the final discharge meeting with the cardiac rehab team in March has been fantastic and has left me feeling nothing but praise for all involved. I was always kept informed and had everything explained to me with both patience and humility. The contact phone number for home visit cardiac nurse as well as the team at DDH was a great help and gave a me confidence during my recovery to be able to ask questions on what may have seemed trivial but were not to me as a patient. The physical rehab course at DDH has helped me recover my confidence quickly and was enjoyable as all the team were constantly encouraging me to improve in a very positive way. I realise in these times of financial constraints that not all projects can continue unchanged or indeed avoid the cut but I would urge anyone with influence to invest and promote this wonderfully supportive and effective project as from a patients perspective it has been effective at not only improving my physical well-being but equally as importantly my mental and emotional confidence which is perhaps more difficult to quantify but must be a key factor in the overall recovery and well-being of any patient post hear-attack.
