"Calm, expert and good-humoured ..."

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary

(as the patient),

What I liked

Calm, expert and good-humoured attention from all the staff.

Hygiene is clearly a big priority - if any infection is still lurking in the hospital, it's not the fault of the staff or the procedures.

What could be improved

The Patientline tv, radio and phone service is expensive. It's a completely separate organisation from the hospital, so no one knows much about how to use it, and no instructions are provided.

Anything else?

I have no experience of other hospitals, but the RLI gets full marks from me.

Thank you for your kind comments. We will endeavour to pass on your message to the relevant Matron, Ward Manager or Head of Department.

We place great value in the fact that local people continue to choose our hospitals and we openly encourage patients and visitors to give us their feedback. This will enable us to continually to improve the services we offer and the experience our patients have whilst in our hospitals.
