"I had a serious mototorcycle accident ..."

About: Addenbrooke's Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I had a serious mototorcycle accident and consider myself very lucky to have been taken to Addenbrooke's. I was in NCCU for two weeks and D8 for 8 weeks. At all times my care was exceptional but what made the biggest impression on me was the friendliness of all the staff. For the first few weeks I was completely helpless and relied on the nurses and healthcare assistants for everything, even scratching my nose when I had an itch! Although I had managed to fracture all my limbs and a fair bit more besides I was never left in any pain and the friendliness of everybody kept my spirits up which I am sure had a lot to do with my quick recovery. It's a pity I cannot name individuals here as some of the healthcare assistants even made a special effort to come and chat with me during their precious break times if they weren't working in my room, they really are special people! Even the food the was pretty good. Thank you everybody, I owe you.

What could be improved

Nothing, wonderful hospital, wonderful staff. Don't change a thing.
