"Partial Knee replacement surgery, February 2014"

About: Mount Vernon Hospital Site

I had knee replacement surgery in Trinity Ward at Mount Vernon Hospital five weeks ago, and I am very pleased with the result so far. I had excellent treatment on the ward and in the operating theatre; every person with whom I had contact at any time was considerate, polite and caring. I felt totally safe whilst I was in hospital and if I needed to press my buzzer a nurse came at once and helped me. All the nurses were professional and kind and gave me confidence; I am so grateful for their wonderful care. The atmosphere was cheerful in our six bedded bay and in every respect I think the rapid recovery programme works well. The meals were all tasty and well served, the cleaning was excellently done and I would like to pass on my thanks for the care I received whilst I was an in-patient. Since I was discharged I have attended the knee class for physiotherapy, and once more, the treatment from the physios was great. Thank you all!

Thank you for your feedback. I am really pleased to hear of your positive experience. Our staff are committed to providing a high standard of care to all patients so it is always encouraging to hear such a positive patient story. I will pass your feedback on to the whole team who looked after you during your stay on Trinity ward and the physiotherapy team who are providing your Outpatient treatment post-surgery.
