About: Broomfield Hospital

Very happy with the care of my father, nice, patient staff, excellent quality of care. My only criticism is that is very difficult to obtain information regarding the patients' progress and plans for their on-going treatment. Due to work commitments it is not easy to visit or telephone during normal office hours and in the evenings staff are understandably very busy and can only divulge limited information. I fully appreciate the need for patient confidentiality but feel frustrated at not being able to talk to anybody to get a clear picture of my Fathers position. He is hard of hearing and does not always fully understand what he is being told so this sometimes needs reiterating from myself. When my late Mother was admitted I experienced the same problem and had to plead for information which was eventually forthcoming and very informative.
