The hospital although displays the dignity of patients charter does not practice what they preach. Elderly patients are left naked, cold, hungry and distressed. Cleaners walk in and out of patient bays when the curtains are closed while supposedly "clinical care" is in progress. If you dare to make a complaint or in my case I intervened you can be sure the nurses (including senior nurse managers) make up lies about you and these lies are recorded on the hospital records. I made an official complaint and was really surprised when the hospital management replied in writing and agreed with me. Therefore the complaint now goes up a notch to a higher authority - but you can be sure that nothing will change. God forbid we're all getting older and maybe we'll end up having to be admitted to this hell on earth knowing exactly what kind of "care" we'll be receiving.
