I had bought my 22 month old son to A & E on Wednesday evening as he managed to put a raisin up his nose , after 3 long hours and several nurse etc I was told to come backin the morning at 7.30 where my son may need general anaesthetic to remove the raisin. Upon returning to the ruh I was greeted by a lovely nurse who took my sons details, soon followed the doctor who advised that he thought he could remove the raisin without the need of anaesthetic to my relief!! Shortly followed by lots of crying and screaming the said raisin was removed by 8.25 so to my despair why did I only leave a 12.40 a good 4 hours and 15 later after waiting for generic antibiotics that are only delivered to the wards once a day and from the nurses point of view we can not track the porter that delivers then? Why so long and why not the option to get a prescription as over 4 hours waiting is absurd!
"Ridiculous wait for antibiotics!"
