Visited my GP at 5pm on a Wednesday.
He fortunately is a cardiologist and I was sent to Royal Hallamshire Hospital the next morning at 8: 30am for an ECG.
This confirmed my GP’s diagnosis of ‘heartblock’. I was quickly transferred, by ambulance, to the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield, by 11am that day. I was monitored in the Chasterman wing (cardiothoracic).
The next day, Friday, I was fitted with a pacemaker and returned home the next day.
At my GP and both hospitals, everyone was very kind, efficient and very professional.
Thank you.
