On arrival at Northern General A&E in the early hours of the morning, I was attended to very quickly and made very comfortable. A bed was found for me and I was satisfied with the care I was given. My only concern was being on a mixed ward - I wish that this practice was stopped.
On one occasion, an elderly patient was in great distress on my ward, which lasted all day until she passed away. Could she not have been placed on a more private ward for the sake of her dignity?
