"Very helpful and kind staff"

About: Queen Victoria Hospital (East Grinstead)

My mother who is 92 went for an operation for skin cancer. From the beginning we felt that she was in excellent hands, we were fully informed at every step what was going to happen and our choices. To rest following the operation, my mother was put in a ward overnight and I was due to collect her the following day. Just before she was due to be discharged she fainted, and within seconds at least 6 doctors and nurses rushed and with incredible organization took care of the situation. Fortunately it was not too serious and she was able to leave later on in the day. At all times the nurses and staff were polite, informative and above all very kind. The standard of hospital food was quite good and the ward spotless and organized.

Dear Anonymous Thank you for the positive feedback that you have provided regarding your 92 year old mother's treatment. We are very grateful for your kind comments and have passed them on to the surgical and nursing teams who have also expressed gratitude for them. It is unfortunate that she suffered a fainting spell just prior to being discharged and was pleased to hear that the doctors and nurses responded immediately and provided care. We are very pleased that your mother had a totally satisfactory experience under our care and we wish her all the very best in her continured recovery. Kind regards Nicolle Tadman, Patient Experience Manager
