"Consultation at Doncaster Royal Infirmary Cardiology"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary / Rehabilitation

(as the patient),

After handing in my letter at the reception desk, on turning around an elderly couple were requesting a wheelchair. The nurse explained that none were available in that area and left them standing there; the gentleman was finding that difficult. I asked the nurse where a wheelchair might be found and she replied, "Try the reception area next to the cafe". I was immediately given a wheelchair and within 2-3 minutes the man was sitting comfortably; both very grateful.

After a short wait, a very pleasant nurse called me and did the usual tests and asked me to wait. Another short wait later I was taken around to the consultant's waiting area. All the nurses were very nice. Chatting with another couple made our wait seem short and sweet. The consultant was extremely polite and attentive, the sort of person you could chat to quite easily. The outcome was good.
