"still in agony"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital

having been to my doctors 5 times in 5 months and now having an appointment for an existing condition with my consultant put back to June I have been in so much pain for 3 weeks that I saw the only option left to visit A&E. I waited half an hour to be seen by a lovely triage nurse. another 2.5 hours passed and I was then seen by a lovely student nurse who seemed very empathetic to my needs. Following a discussion with the doctor he arrived. He seemed not interested in my pre existing condition and on numerous times I told him 2 years previous I presented with the same problems and was admitted to a ward for a week. He seemed not to believe me. I was also asked twice what I would like him to do. He did however offer me many suggestions of treatment that could be done at home. He sent me home with more of the same medication and to carry on. My points being: 1. I am not medically trained so don't know the answers- that's why I visited a hospital 2. due to not being medically trained, I don't want to perform some of the necessary procedures myself 3. there were no tests done on me 4. there was no specialist advice given to me, or ways in which to get in contact with my consultant at a time of need and desperation a little quicker than I am not managing at the moment. 5. I know my body- there is a problem, it wasn't sorted- I am still in agony I don't mind waiting 5 hours if I am seen to and respected like another adult. But this afternoon, this department failed me. im sure I shall be visiting another medical department soon as the problem hasn't gone away in 5 months so with no more treatment, whats the likelihood now? None! your thoughts and responses will be greatly viewed, not just an automated one.
