"Thank you to the Accident and Emergency Team!"

About: Gloucestershire Royal Hospital

I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the whole team who assisted when my 3 year old Son suffered febrile convulsions in the night. To the 999 operator who guided me through checking him, the response car which arrived so quickly and managed to find our dark lane at 4am in the morning, the ambulance crew who arrived soon after who transported us to hospital (and thank you for that arm on my shoulder, I really needed that) and the nurses and Doctors at Gloucester Royal. You didn't just do your jobs exceptionally well, you were kind and funny too - all at a time when most of the Country is sleeping. We all know how tough things must be in the NHS at the moment and I think most of us also know it is people like this holding it together. We are very very grateful for you all, thank you.

Hello there, Many thanks for sharing this feedback with us. We hope your son is now recovering well? We will pass your comment regarding the paramedics to our colleagues at the South Western Ambulance Service so they can share with their teams and will also pass them on to our staff at A&E. Thank you again and wishing you and your son all the best for the future. Kind regards The team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
