I visited the eye clinic on Wednesday 26th February for a cataract operation along with my daughter who came with me. The car parking was very easy (I am a blue badge holder) and the hospital and grounds were very nice and modern. Upon arrival and once I had registered at reception I was called for my appointment. We were met by a lovely nurse, she made us both very welcome and was so nice indeed and was extremely helpful and explained everything to us as she went along. We were seen by several nurses throughout the day and all were very pleasant and kind including the doctor who examined my eye and did the operation. Numerous eye drops had to be administered into my eye and each time the procedure was fully explained and what stage we were at. A very caring nurse did the drops and was also so very kind. The operation was fine and I was looked after so extremely well. After the operation was complete a very kind nurse brought us both a very welcoming cup of tea and biscuits. After that a nurse went through the aftercare with a group of us then we were called individually into a room and explained what to do for the aftercare again and given the eye drops. The whole experience was so well carried out and all the nurses were so very kind and professional. I was made to feel instantly at ease, as I was very nervous, but was treated with kindness and respect. All the staff work so very hard and they deserve the highest of respect for the job that they do so extremely well. We have nothing but praise for this hospital along with all the staff who work there and we thank you so very much for your kindness and the service that you provided for me.
