My wife was an in patient from 9th to 26th February, mainly in Higginson Ward, but with one day in Princess Ward. From the moment we arrived in the hospital, we were treated with the utmost courtesy. During her stay, we were kept informed of what was happening, and I, as her husband ,was pleased that I was able to speak to any member of the staff whenever I made a request. The care, consideration, respect, and courtesy shown, both to my wife and myself, over the two weeks or so she was in Papworth could not be faulted. What also struck me was the apparent happy atmosphere there was in Higginson Ward, the staff went about their duty in a quite but orderly fashion. The physiotherapists were also extremely kind and helpful, in fact there was not one member of staff that I met who was not helpful. My overriding memory is that the patient was the only person that mattered, which does not appear top be the same criteria in other hospitals. Just saying "thank you" to all staff seems so little reward , when they have done so much for us.
"Thank you so much"
