"Finding a doctor"

About: Barnet PCT

(as the patient),

After contacting the three nearest surgeries to me in the Borough of Barnet where I live, I was then given a list by the BMA of other local surgeries. None would take me at first. They were full or I lived on the wrong side of the main road/railway line. The excuses were phenomenal!!

I finally joined one technically in Brent and am very happy to see the female locum doctor, so long as she remains in the practice. The female partner in the Practice failed to listen to my concerns or make eye contact with me on the four occasions we met.

The surgery was filthy but this has since been remedied and the admin staff are receptive to comments and very efficient and pleasant.

I still resent the fact though that I pay my Council Tax in Barnet but can't access surgeries under Barnet council.

My suggestion is to build more RESIDENTIAL properties to the west side of the MIDLAND railway line at Cricklewood between Staples Corner and Crickleood instead of leaving so many derelict or burnt out sites. Other essential services would follow and the neighbourhood would be regenerated!
