"Treatment and care of my father"

About: Arrowe Park Hospital

My dad went into ward 38 last November twice and December once. Dad had terminal lung cancer. During his three stays on ward 38 he andthe rest of my family were treated with the utmost respect and professionalism by all the staff, from cleaners to porters, nurses and doctors.Dad was eventually moved to St Johns Hospice were he sadly pastaway, but I'll never forget the friendliness of the staff on Ward 38. They helped to make dads last weeks brighter.

May we firstly offer our sincere condolences for the loss of your father. We are extremely sorry to hear about your loss. Thank you very much for your kind comments. We are extremely grateful that you have taken the time to provide this feedback. Our staff work hard to try to ensure that a patient’s experience whilst at the hospital is as pleasant and comfortable as possible, and they are always considerably heartened and motivated on learning how much their efforts have been appreciated. We have passed your kind sentiments to staff on Ward 38. If we can be of further assistance in any way, please do not hesitate to contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on freephone 0800 432 0251, email wih-tr.pals@nhs.net or in writing to PALS, Arrowe Park Hospital, Arrowe Park Road, Upton, Wirral, CH49 5PE.
