"support from School nurse"

About: Locala Community Partnerships CIC / School nursing Kirklees

(as the patient),

I asked to see the school nurse I was not coping in high school and I felt that people were talking about me. I started to self-harm and this was the breaking point for me. I spoke with my pastoral leader and she referred me to the school nurse.

A school nurse call Bev came to see me and she explained that I could talk to her about anything. She was no judgemental and explained that she would try and help me as much as possible. However she did say that she may need to talk to other people. I like that in a person who is open and honest with me.

Bev gave me some self help guide and came to see me again in two weeks. I have only cut once more,

I have seen Bev about 5 times now and I hope I am still able to see her. The support and advice I get is so much appreciated and it has helped me so much.

Over the last 2months I have not done any self-harming and I am so proud of myself.

I can't wait to tell Bev. She is such a good school nurse I would tell my friends to speak to her if they are worried about anything.

Thank you so much for taking the trouble to write in with your praise of Bev, I will pass on your thanks.

We are so pleased that you have been helped and quite right you should be very proud of yourself too.
