"Operation was very smooth"

About: Holme Valley Memorial Hospital / Day surgery

(as the patient),

I was treated by Dr Wright and his team to remove some lumps on my head.

There was no hassle, no waiting, no fuss – it was all very smooth. The Nurses were very welcoming and reassuring. Dr Wright explained the procedure and asked for my consent. We discussed the local anesthetic and I was able to tell them I preferred to be propped up and not laid flat, they were fine about this.

I have since received a letter letting me know that the tests carried out on the bumps are all clear and I have nothing to worry about.

Hi Hastily Many thanks for taking the time to post on Patient Opinion. I passed your comments onto Dr Wright and here is his response.

We have received many delightful comments about the service we have provided in the minor surgery suite. We aim to provide an efficient service but with an emphasis on putting patients at their ease so that it is a relaxing and even enjoyable experience. I would thank everyone who has commented, as it is reassurance for us that we are getting the balance about right and for prospective patients to read to reassure them that they are not going to have a poor experience.
