I took my father in to A and E with chest pains, after being told he was going to be transferred to a ward and stay in over night for a blood test . by 8.15 pm he was still waiting for a bed. 3 hours 45 mins had gone by when I asked how much longer before he would be to get on a ward no one knew not even the staff nurse, who said they were very busy and didn't know when. Various patients who were brought in were left outside the cubicle where my father was. General cleanliness of the department was not very good.
