A&E sat night 23/2/14. guy had peed and left blood on floor, i as receptinish to get it cleaned up she did nothing another fella in there asked other receptionist to get it cleaned up. 15 mins later cleaner came out looked at it put wet floor sign over peed area and then vanished. the fella in waiting room asked stuff about what's happening about the blood 'now been walked through by many people since' cleaner came out sometime later with dry mop, realising it was dry blood he went off again and came back with slightly wet mop, no sign of anti-infection liquid! we pointed out blood was on 2 chairs he used damp cloth again no spray. this is A&E with many people passing through and people and some in hgh risks from infections.

Thank you for taking the time to post this comment. Obviously, something didn't happened as it should on Saturday night, as we're sorry that you had this experience. Thanks to your feedback, we've raised it with both our senior team in the Emergency Department and with the managers of our cleaning contractors. They will investigate what happened, and will make sure the proper processes are followed in future. Meanwhile, we hope you are happy with the care you received and are well on the way to a full recovery.
