"A & E well done"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

I went to A & E after talking to 111 & the staff from reception to nurses were all really nice, friendly and polite, it was Saturday 22nd February 8.00 pm, it was fairly busy but waited only 40 minutes for triage, the nurse told me about 30 minutes wait for dressings, but was only 20 minutes, the nurses put me at ease and were really good,I felt a bit of a fraud as had just shaved skin off small part of little finger when cutting sweet potato but it wouldn't stop bleeding, the nurse said was chefs accident and was good I came in as needed help.they dressed my wound and sorted out and told me to come back if any problems. Thank you to all staff in A& E between 8.00pm & 10.00pm Saturday

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience of visiting the emergency department. It is good to hear you were pleased with the care and treatment you received. We hope the finger is healing well. Inma Diaz Clinical Nurse Lead for Emergency Department
